Rev. Albert Farewell and Rev. Elijah Welcome

The welcoming for Rev. Elijah Chiew & family and farewell for Rev. Albert Chiew & family.

Gosh, I just remember that I havent write the summary for this event. So busy with my work and also my other blogs. By the way, Rev. Albert Chiew and family would have been in Melbourne since last Wednesday.

Rev. Elijah Chiew graduated in Computer Science from University of New South Wales in Sydney. Before coming to Perth, he has been serving in churches in Sydney and Melbourne. He's married to Mrs. Chiew (of course!) and has 5 children including a baby's due soon. The 4 children are Alister, Rachel, Chloe, and Wesley.

The night started with a pot-luck dinner. At about 7.30pm, the congregation prepared themselves for the farewell service. Brother Jason and Ing Tong led the singspiration and the Chinese choir presented the first item. The English choir presented a song to farewell Rev. Albert and Mrs. Chiew. In addition, they also formed a quartet and sang an interesting song to them. There were also speeches from the LCEC chairman, the lay leader and the English secretary. The church presented flowers to both the families. Little Shuarn Hern presented the flower to Evelyn as a token of farewell. The sunday school children and teachers presented the last item with the song "God is good all the time".
